If the beach and river are not enough for your holiday, Ballina and the local area offer a range of attractions for the avid explorer. These include the local waterpark (with several slides), the Big Prawn, and the Thursday Plantation (tea tree farm).
For those willing to travel a little further Byron Bay offers it's local light house (eastern most point of Australia), there is the Crystal Castle at Mullumimby (behind Byron) and Lake Ainsworth (natural tea tree lake) at Lennox Head.
